# Vault Your Cards

Courtyard.io provides a service that enables anyone to vault and digitize their graded cards. Users can ship their cards to our vault to store and insure for free and have them added directly to their digital wallet. The cards can be instantly traded worldwide and are redeemable 24/7 for the identical physical cards. Currently **we only accept graded cards and comics** shipped from within the US, though we plan to expand this more broadly.

### How does it work?

To get started, head to [Courtyard.io](https://courtyard.io/) and click the 'Submit my cards' button

1. Share some details about your cards, purchase a label, and drop off at your local USPS. Or ship directly to the vault from another marketplace (more info [here](https://docs.courtyard.io/courtyard/about-courtyard.io/vault-your-cards/ship-direct-option)).
2. After your package arrives at our vault, your card is authenticated and processed.
3. We securely store your card and add it directly to your collection.

That's it! You can then carry your collection wherever you go, instantly choose when to list for sale, transfer directly to a friend – your cards, your terms.

### Are these cards redeemable?

All cards stored at the Courtyard vault are redeemable worldwide at anytime.

For cards you own, you'll see a redeem button next to them when viewing them on Courtyard.io.\

### Where is my card stored?

Cards are stored at the Courtyard vault in the United States. Cards are stored under fine art-grade security, and are monitored 24/7. See more info about our vault [here](https://docs.courtyard.io/courtyard/logistics-and-legal/asset-storage-and-insurance).

### Is the product insured?

Yes, we insure your cards for free while in the vault.

### Who pays for shipping?

You are responsible for the cost of shipping to the vault.

### How quickly is the card minted after I send it in?

The turnaround time depends on how long your asset takes to get to our vault. From the time you ship your asset to Courtyard, it will generally take 1 to 2 weeks for us to authenticate the card, create the 3D rendering and add it to your collection.
